A style that is unique to Photography By Wingate is our "Portraits With Personality", which plays heavily on my background as a photojournalist. The idea is to make a simple image that captures the true personality of the subject, employing clothes, objects and expressions that are "real" in that person's life. Such an image tells much more about the subject, and each one is individual-no problem of the "same look" that many portrait studios produce. Black and white is the preferred medium for these strong images, in keeping with the intent to simply capture the essence of my subject.
